1.1 Data discretion & sovereign ownership

SummarizeMe operates on a zero-encroachment principle. We do not "mine" your snippets, read your captured text, or view your screen regions for any purpose other than the immediate execution of the AI actions you trigger.

1.2 Zero-training guarantee

While SummarizeMe utilizes Google Gemini for processing, we utilize API-tier configurations that strictly prohibit the use of your data for model training. Your inputs and outputs remain your intellectual property and are never used to improve global AI models.

1.3 Data infrastructure & third parties

To provide a seamless sync between your macOS device and web dashboard, we use the following vetted sub-processors:

Identity: Clerk manages authentication. We do not store your raw password.

Database & storage: All snippets and images are housed in Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS), ensuring only your authenticated Clerk ID can access your data.

Payments: If you purchase a license, your financial data is handled exclusively by our authorized payment processor acting as merchant of record. SummarizeMe does not see or store your credit card or billing details.

Intelligence: Google Gemini processes text/images via ephemeral API calls.

1.4 Retention policy

Active account: We retain your data only as long as you maintain an active subscription or account.

User-initiated deletion: You have the absolute right to "Trash" or "Permanently Delete" snippets. Once purged from the trash by the user, the data is removed from our Supabase production tables.

Account termination: Upon cancellation of service, data is slated for deletion following the expiration of your final billing cycle.

1.5 Communication

SummarizeMe does not engage in third-party marketing or newsletter list-selling. We only send essential, transactional emails related to your account security or billing status.
